Hello, I'm J.R. Damron.

I’m running for the Republican nomination for Lieutenant Governor in 2010, and I’d like your support. We’ve created this website so that you know how I stand on issues facing New Mexico and to offer you a way to get in touch with us. Rest assured, we'll put your donations and your opinions to good use so that we can take back New Mexico from a political culture that has squandered its opportunities these past seven years. Bill Richardson and Diane Denish have taken New Mexico down a path to an unnatural dependence on Government. It’s time to replace it with one that's leaner, more efficient and accountable to the people. We’ll make it happen by using the enormous talent of thousands of New Mexicans.

We cannot allow a few privileged individuals to set our State’s agenda.

Too many people have gained too much power by cozying up to the Governor and Lieutenant Governor. It’s time we reject the politics of the past and move on.

New Mexico is changing and changing fast.

The challenges facing us are too great and too immediate to wait any longer. Conservative Republicans have the ideas that will solve many of our most pressing problems. We deserve quality healthcare, safer streets, a better educational system and a vibrant economy.

But good ideas are not enough.

We must have leaders who are wise enough and tough enough to make the hard decisions. I’m one of those people with the experience and the will to make it happen. I ask you to support real change, not the smoke and mirrors kind that’s so popular in Washington.

New Mexicans know the difference and will vote to stamp out political cronyism and support honest transparent government.

If you feel we’ve been short-changed by the Richardson/Denish dynasty, I ask you to help us. Your donation will make it possible to get our message out to New Mexicans who want true reform. The change we really need comes from people like you who will stand for progress.
